CHIMACUM—Beginning Sunday, March 21, Jefferson County Public Health together with the Department of Emergency Management will hold an appointment-only vaccination clinic at the Chimacum School District Multi-Purpose Room, 91 West Valley Road beginning at 9AM.

As of March 17, those eligible now include critical workers in agriculture, food processing, grocery stores, public transit, firefighters and law enforcement, staff and volunteers in congregate living settings; people ages 16+ that are pregnant or have a disability that puts them at higher risk. Anyone who was eligible in earlier vaccine phases can also schedule an appointment.  The vaccine being used at this clinic is Moderna. Appointments for your second vaccination will be made after your first injection.

NOTE: Those not yet eligible until March 17 should wait to begin the scheduling process on March 17. On that date, go to to check eligibility. Print a copy of the confirmation page to bring to the clinic for your appointment. Next, log on to to schedule your appointment. For those who do not have access to a computer, please call 360-344-9791 to make an appointment.

Jefferson County Public Health and the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) are planning to open more COVID vaccination clinics throughout the community based on vaccine allocation, facility availability and other factors. Together, Public Health and DEM are committed to offering Jefferson County residents multiple opportunities to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Jefferson County’s West End residents can find vaccination opportunities at Forks Community Hospital thanks to the partnership and support of Clallam County Emergency Management, the Forks Operational Area and Forks Community Hospital.

Jefferson Healthcare will continue to maintain operation of its COVID vaccination site on their campus. They will continue to be the primary vaccine point of distribution for the county for the immediate future, with Jefferson County's limited vaccine allocation being distributed first and foremost through the hospital’s vaccination site. Also, multiple pharmacies in the area have been receiving small amounts of vaccine and will continue to offer services as supplies are available to them.

We understand that many in our community cannot travel to vaccination sites for a variety of reasons. At this point in time, however, we are unable to offer mobile vaccination services directly to homes or workplaces, in part due to the unique requirements handling the delicate vaccine. Moving forward, we will be working with the State and others to identify solutions to this problem so we can make the vaccine available to as many of our residents as possible. Olympic Area Agency on Aging (O3A) has contracted with Echho to offer transportation assistance to vaccine sites for individuals 60 older. Their Information and Assistance desk can be reached at 360-385-2552 or 1-800-801-0050. Also, individuals can access Jefferson Transit Dial-A-Ride at 360-385-4777 to get to the clinic.

Jefferson Healthcare, Jefferson County Public Health, and Jefferson County Emergency Management will be working together to distribute the vaccine to Jefferson County residents, with a focus on equity, accessibility, and on protecting our most vulnerable residents first and foremost.
