Autopay Tax Payments

Program Details

The automatic property tax debited payment process uses the autopay method to have the Jefferson County Treasurer automatically deduct your tax payment(s) from your checking or savings account (U.S. financial institutions only). Fill out the Application to Pay Your Taxes by Autopay (PDF) and return it to our office. Then on April 30 and October 31, or the next business day should these dates fall on a weekend or holiday, your tax payments will be made automatically for the amount shown on your tax payment coupon(s). Or, if you choose to pay the full year, this will be done on April 30. You must however, complete and return the form by the stated deadlines of April 10 or October 10.

The authorization remains in effect until the Treasurer has received written notification from you, no less than 30 days before the next payment date. Or, at such time that a payment is refused by your financial institution for any reason (this will incur a $30 returned item fee or the amount currently in effect at the time of return).
