Hearing Notice

Pursuant to the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA) and State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), Jefferson County is issuing documents titled “Amendments to the Unified Development Code Relating to Shooting Facilities, Staff Report, and SEPA Threshold Determination of Non-Significance.” Jefferson County has determined that it is the appropriate SEPA lead agency for the proposals and is issuing a threshold determination of non-significance pursuant to RCW 43.21C and WAC 197-11.

Planning Commission Public Hearing: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Jefferson County Planning Commission will a public hearing to take oral and written comments on the proposed amendments. The public hearings will occur on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, beginning at 5:30 PM with a comment period 5:30 – 7:30 PM at the Chimacum High School Auditorium, 91 West Valley Road, Chimacum, WA.

Public Comment Period and Method to Provide Comment: The Planning Commission and DCD will accept written comments on the merits of the proposed amendments starting Wednesday, October 24, 2018 through close of business on Friday, November 9, 2018. Any written comments on these suggested amendments submitted after the close of the public hearing will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) for consideration in its legislative decision. The BoCC may also hold a public hearing before taking action on the final amendments. (Formal notice would appear in this newspaper of record at a later date).
