Marriage Licenses have a three-day waiting period, it is valid for 60 days and must be solemnized in the State of Washington.
In-Person Applications
Step 1 Marriage application: Complete and submit the online marriage application. The link is located in the left green column.
Step 2 Submitting the application: After submitting the online application, both parties will need to appear in person with valid government issued photo identification. The three (3) day waiting period begins once you've appeared and paid the fees.
Step 3 Fees: The fee to apply for a Marriage License is $44.00 payable by cash, check or debit/credit card (for a fee).
Mail-In Applications
Step 1 Marriage application: Complete and submit the online marriage application. The link is located in the left green column.
Step 2 Forms: You will need to complete the Mail-In Application as well.
Step 3 Fees: After submitting the online application and completing the Mail-In application, you will send the forms along with a check or money order for $44.00 payable to the Jefferson County Auditor. The three (3) day waiting period begins when we receive the application and fees.
